Wood Decks In Texas.?
I would like to have a deck installed in the front of my house to give us more room on the porch. I would like a 20 x 12 with rails around and exist steps. How much should I expect to pay a contractor to install this for labor if I am furnishing all the materials?

Being a handyman…. I would say look in the paper uder services offered for a handyman that does decks. it could save you a bundle.

Find out what labor in your area runs a day……….and ask him what he thinks it would take him to do it. I would say 2 days would be fair to both parties, plus tax. The only reason you might get into 3 days would be if you have a trick handrail……….but if it is just average he shouldn’t have a problem. In the town that I live in 5 to 6 hundred would be fair to all, for two days. Hope this helps………..if you have a difficult material that has slotting and hidden screws then expect more.
