Screened In Porch To A Florida Room?
A house we are buying has a nice screened in porch that is 12 x 18 feet. It has a cathedral ceiling with a ceiling fan and sky lights. The roof is the same asphalt roof as the house. Currently it has a wood deck as the floor. I would like to convert this to a florida room with glass doors and a real floor with heating and cooling. Any idea of an approximate range for cost?

sounds like a nice house something like I have seen in Royal Palm Beach, roof and house the same? that is new to me.
in my honest opinion wood floors are coming back strong
they are just as real as any other unless you want Tile floors
which can run into serious bucks.had a living room,Dining area and kitchen Tiled it cost around 6 grand. .tile was pricey enough, the labor involved
took the lions share of the price quoted
as far as the A/C
Central heat and Air.if no ducts are present here again we are talking serious dough.about 4 to 5 grand for the outside unit
or compressor(shop around though) prices vary on make and models.for ducts a lot depends on how much under air you want and the square footage,a basic plan might run 2 to 2500.add the condenser you will need for the unit unless one comes with a package deal.if bought separate add a few hundred more.me thinks around 11 grand barring unforeseen circumstances, like was mentioned ask around depending
on your exact footage it can vary.if you went to home depot or Lowe’s and explained all this you would get a ballpark figure
did that and found outside better contractors that bid lower than their lowest but still ended up putting out almost10,000
even after doing a lot of it ourselves.if you live in Florida expect to have to get and pay for permits for everything.
contractors hands are tied unless the permits needed
are acquired
