Is There A Black Paving Stone In The Centre Of Saint Peter's Square?
Tue, 10 Aug 2010 16:49:33 GMT
Before I visited Rome, my parents told me that somewhere in the middle of St Peter's Square, there is a single black paving stone that you wouldn't find unless you were looking for it, and apparently if you stand on it, all of the pillars surrounding the square line up, so that you can only see the front pillars surrounding you. We never found it, and there's nothing about it on the internet to suggest it's there. Has anyone actually seen or stood on it? Thanks in advance! :)

I've been advised to put sand down and lay the pavings on the sand. The thing is at the end of this area are two large hydrangea bushes. I will not be putting any paving under these, but do I have to put sand. If I only put
